Catholic male and female devotees from Sri Lanka and South India congregated in thousands at the St. Anthony’s Church Feast held at Katchatheevu Island on Saturday and Sunday.
The religious ceremony commenced with the flag hoisting. The Parish Priest of Neduntheewu Rev. Fr. Emil Paul hoisted the flag bearing the portrait of St.Anthony. The Mass was conducted in Tamil by the Jaffna Bishop Rev. Fr. Dr. Justice Gnanapragasam and in Sinhala by Galle Bishop Rev. Fr. Dr. Raymond Wickremasinghe.
