Court grants bail to Lalkantha

Anuradhapura Magistrate’s Court granted bail to JVP politburo member K.D. Lalkantha, who had been remanded over an accident in Anuradhapura.

The politician was produced before the court yesterday when the the bail application filed on his behalf was taken up for consideration. He was released on two personal bails of Rs 100,000 each. He also ordered K.D. Lalkantha to appear before the court on March 14.

The Defence Counsel appearing on behalf of Lalkantha informed the court that the woman wounded and hospitalized from the accident will be given a Compassionate grant of Rs 100,000.
