Marawila Magistrate’s Court has issued notice on Wennappuwa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Susantha Perera to appear before it on Friday allegedly for his move to temporarily ban Muslim vendors from doing business at the Dankotuwa weekly fair.

Perera had issued a letter on Monday(24) imposing a temporary prohibition on Muslim vendors at the Dankotuwa weekly fair from doing business, stating the decision was made in the interest of ‘preserving peace’ after Easter attacks.
