JVP Parliamentarian Bimal Ratnayake has observed that the recent landmark judgement of the Supreme Court against the dissolution of Parliament by President Sirisena has displayed the independence of the judiciary in the island and has thereby proved beyond doubt that the Sri Lankan judiciary could hear the war crimes and that there is no necessity for establishing an International Court to look into alleged war crimes committed by the Armed Forces during the war time in Sri Lanka.
