Pada Yathrai for reconciliation in Batticaloa

A Pada Yathria comprising of leaders of all faiths was held in Batticlaoa to highlight reconciliation through religions. The Yathari commenced form Ghanthi Poonga and proceeded to Batticaloa Municipal Council Hall. The procession was followed by a meeting addressed by leaders of various faiths. The event was organized under the auspices of the Ehed Karitas.

Hearing aids to needy families in Kandy

Hearing aids worth Rs 80,00,000 were handed to needy families in the Central Province at an event held at the office of the Central Province Chief Minister. The beneficiaries numbering more than fifty were from Mahiyangana, Gamopla, Badulla, Hirndurukotte, Dehiyatha and other places.
