Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa urges people to cast votes in a peaceful manner.

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa made this request on Friday. He said:

“We urge the people to adhere to the laws and regulations of the Election Commission and exercise their votes.

I humbly request the public to abide by COVID-19 related health and safety measures at election polls, and cast your valuable vote to the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in a peaceful manner on August 5 for a strong Parliament; to empower the "Vision of Prosperity" of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa."
