Harvest festival at Nallur Kanthaswamy Koil for the 288 th year

The annual Harvest Festival (Nel Puthur Aruvadai) of Nallur Kanthaswamy Koil was held for the 288 th year on Monday, January 17, the Thaipoosam Day.

Trustee of the Koil, priests and devotees participated in the event held in temple paddy fields in Mattuvil. They collected the initial harvest and took it to the temple. Thereafter, they prepared Amuthu, presented to Lord Murugan during poojas and distributed to devotees.
