Minister Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has charged that the past regime led by Mahinda Rajapaske was responsible for disharmony among communities in the past. It was due to its policies and practice.
He made the allegation during his address after declaring open the office of the United National Party office in Batticaloa. Batticaloa District UNP Organizer Maheswaran presided.
During his address. Fonseka continued that under the unity government led by President Maithripala Sirisena and the Prime Minister Ranil Wickrmasinghe unity among all communities has been forged for the development of the whole country. We must work hard to ensure a Sri Lankan identity among all people.
