Trade and Commerce Minister Rishad Badiudeen met with investors at the office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Trincomalee on January 8. He held discussions with them. He also addressed them. President of the Trincomalee Chamber of Commerce and Industry K.Kulatheepan presided. Minister Badiudeen was in Trincomalee on a two day visit.
Tamil United Liberation Leader Anandasangary visited Batticaloa recently and met with party candidates for local government bodies in Kalmunai and Karaitheeuw areas. He explained them the party's stance and election strategy.
National Bhikhu Front launched a leaflet programme in towns and villages in Anuradhapura and Madawachiya urging the voters to cast their votes prudently at the forth coming local election. They are to continue the programme in Hingurakgoda, Kaduruwela, Dambulla, Galewela and Kurunegala.
