Wanidu Hasaranga became the third player in history to claim a hat-trick on his one-day international debut as Sri Lanka thrashed Zimbabwe by seven wickets in the second one-day international on Sunday. He also became the youngest cricketer to do so.
Hasaranga dismissed Malcolm Waller, Donald Tiripano and Tendai Chatara in succession in the 34th over to become the third player to take hat - trick on ODI debut. Only Kagiso Rabada and Taijul Islam have taken hat-tricks on their debuts. He is also the fifth Sri Lankan bowler after Chaminda Vaas, Lasith Malinga, Farveez Maharoof and Thisara Perera to take a hat-trick in ODIs.
Sri Lanka bowled out Zimbabwe for 155 . They then reached 158-3 in 30.1 overs. Upul Tharanga Scored 75 not out.
