DMK president M.K. Stalin on Monday urged for an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the demise of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to journalists, he stated that only an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would solve the mystery surrounding her death. It was his view that the commission headed by retired Justice Arumughaswamy won’t be able to bring out the truth.
Stalin said: “I demanded a CBI inquiry immediately after the former Chief Minister’s death. But I was then criticized for my views. There is a mystery in the former Chief Minister’s death. The CBI alone would be able to bring out the truth of the matter.”
