Balachander’s Final journey as mourners weep

Thousands of people- artistes, writers, actors, fans etc- participated in the final journey of veteran Director K.Balachander who passed away at the age of 84 after a brief illness.

Several people paid tributes to his body that lay at his residence at Mylapore. His body was taken in a procession and cremated at Beasant Nagar Cemetery.
