Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party led by former Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan has led in partial results of the Pakistan's general election held on Wednesday. With just 30 per cent of the total vote counted, it leads in 113 of 272 contested National Assembly constituencies.


People of Pakistan are taking part in a general election that is poised to choose a National Assembly of 272 members. More than 3,000 candidates are contesting for 272 general seats of the National Assembly. Meanwhile, around 8,000 candidates are contesting for 577 general seats of the four provincial assemblies - Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
